EXTRA INFORMATION:
It is important to protect sensitive skin areas well. This is not only important in summer with lots of sun, but may also be necessary on a sunny winter day. For horses, not only a pink nose or white markings on the head are extra sensitive to sunburn, but white markings on the legs and the pasterns can also get sunburned.

Sun Protector contains both a UVA and a UVB filter. UVB rays reach your top skin layer and cause your skin to produce pigment for protection. UVB rays cannot penetrate glass, clothing, or clouds, but cause you to burn if you are in the sun for too long. The ‘B’ in UVB stands for ‘burn’. The ‘A’ in UVA stands for ‘aging’. These rays penetrate deeper into the skin and cause skin aging, sun allergies, or pigment spots.

Sun Protector has an SPF (Sun Protection Factor) of 30. Simply put, this means that with SPF 30 you can stay in the sun ’30 times longer’ than without sunscreen. This only applies if you apply it thoroughly, at least every two hours.
