Trust Sweet Iron Hanging Cheek Eliptical 16mm | Baucher double jointed

The Sweet Iron baucher by Trust is a double-jointed snaffle. This bit has separate rings for the cheek pieces, which creates a very light leverage behind the ears and in the mouth. This bit lies still in the mouth and has a positive effect on horses that carry their heads too high, they let their heads drop and relax more in the upper neck. The bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.

The sweet iron bits from Trust:

Sweet iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and naturally stimulates saliva production. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue colour of the TRUST bits to brown-grey. If a sweet iron bit is not used temporarily, an orange-brown rust layer may form on the mouthpiece. This can easily be removed by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
